Annya Sand Eastern Art Prizes
We are pleased to announce major art prizes in 2010 for emerging Russian and Asian artists. They are:
The Annya Sand Prize for the best work of art by an artist from the former Soviet Union & Eastern Europe. View Shortlist

A new prize for the best work of art by an aritst from the Middle East will be announced in the autumn of 2010.
Galleries and individual artists from across the world have submitted entries. There is no charge for entry and no age limit.
A panel of judges will select the 20 best works, which will be on display in a dedicated room within the Fair. The winners in each category will be offered solo exhibitions in a prestigious London art gallery (dates to be arranged) together with a PR package to help launch their London career.
In addition to the solo exhibitions awarded to the winners, all finalists will take part in a major group exhibition at Asia House in London in March 2011.
The winners of the Eastern Art Prizes will be announced by TV art critic, Andrew Graham Dixon at the Private View of the Russian, Eastern & Oriental Fine Art Fair on Wednesday 9th June 2010.
The Prizes will be presented by HRH Prince Michael of Kent GCVO. Television interviews will be conducted with the winners.
Judging Panel
The Judging Panel will include leading London gallery directors, art press and PR experts. Panel members
include Samir Ceric (Salon Contemporary); Jean-David Malat (Opera Gallery); Anna Hunter (Belgravia Gallery); Tanya Baxter
(Kings Road Gallery); James Butterwick (James Butterwick Fine Art); Sarah Callaghan (Asian Art Newspaper); Cherie
Federico (Aesthetica Magazine); Anthony Lester FRSA and Aliona Muchinskaya (Red Square PR).
The Panel will be chaired by Andrew Graham Dixon.
APPLICATION PROCESS (Please note that entries for 2010 are now closed. Details regarding the 2011 Prizes will be available in September 2010)
The Eastern Art Prizes are open to artists working in traditional media. This includes painting, sculpture, print-making and traditional photography. Digitally-enhanced photography will only be accepted as part of a mixed-media process. To be eligible, artists must be of Russian / Asian / Middle Eastern nationality as appropriate, but present country of residence is not a factor. Artists of dual nationality may also apply.
Galleries
Established art galleries can submit up to 5 artists with a maximum of 3 entries per artist. Include details of any exhibitions the artist(s) has held with your gallery.
Individual Artists
Please submit up to 3 images. Where possible, please also include a brief biography, with details of art education, previous sales, commissions, etc. where appropriate. The Prizes are also open to self-taught artists. There is no age limit.
How to Apply
Entries must be submitted as follows:
Low-resolution j-peg or gif. Size: 600 pixels at longest dimension.
For each work submitted, please include clearly:
1. Artist name
2. Date of Birth
3. Nationality
4. Title of work
5. Dimensions
6. Medium
For each image submitted, please ensure that the artist’s name and title of art work are included in the image title (e.g. ‘van-gogh-sunflowers.jpg’).
Please also include postal address and telephone contact number.

Please Note: By submitting entries to the Eastern Art Prizes, you agree to Russian Art Fair Ltd using the images as we see fit for press, PR and on-line voting.
Entries that do not comply to the above guidelines, blurred or unlabeled images will not be accepted.
